Rebeca Moreno (September 86)

I studied Arts in Complutense University in Madrid. I finished my degree in sculpture speciality, despite of this I work with  different materials and techniques like photography, lithography, silk-screen...I continued my studies at Barcelona  University, where I studied a master in Visual Culture and Education. That time was really good, I could learn  a lot thanks to wonderful people  I met there and teachers, who helped  and accompanied to me in a process of unlearning, deconstruction, learning, reconstruction.

I have done some exhibition at Madrid and Ávila, in Spain. I have participated in the poetry books of Alberto Guerra "Séxtaxis" where you can see some of my Illustrations and " Diosas de Carrne y Verso" where I participated with a few photographs.

 I was living for couple of years in London, where I have shown my work at Vibe Gallery and I have participated in Art C.O.S festival at Dalston neighbourhood. Also I shown some Illustration in a online magazine "Patchworkpaper"  http://patchworkpaper.co.uk/2014/05/home-is-where/.   Also I was working as a volunteer at Orlean house Gallery doing workshop with kids.

I came back to Madrid looking for new opportunities, I started to be interested about performance so I have do some workshop with Performncer like Nieves Correa and Bartolomé Ferrando and I participated in some festivals like AccionMad 2015 edition. Nowadays I´m working in new illustration proyect. Also I work with atrezzo at theater and windows store.

After time working in a diferent areas and matirials I could say that my art work look for the moviment of the human body, expressions, felling, sensations and senses. Thats why every thing I do is related to each other. I do aeroyoga which keep a connection with performance; I do workshop with kid about performance, instalation and trash art keeping connection with the enmvironmet that our bodies inhabit; I do photography about bodies and peole; I do atrezzo for shop windows creating habitable ennmvironments I try to create histories of people who could have lived there; I do illustration looking for transmit the movement of my heart and filling through the watercolor.

Estudié Bellas Artes en la universidad Complutense de Madrid. Me especialicé en escultura, aunque  trabajo con diferentes materiales y en diferentes áreas.

Continué mis estudios en la Universidad de Barcelona con el máster "Artes visuales y educación". Aquellos meses fueron maravillosos,  tuve la oportunidad de aprender y crecer como persona gracias a la gente que conocí allí, compañer@s y profesores/as, quienes me ayudaron y  acompañaron en el proceso de desaprender,  deconstruir, aprender y reconstruir.

He expuesto en Madrid y Ávila. He participado en libros de poesía de Alberto Guerra, "Sextasis" con ilustraciones y "Diosas de Carne y Verso" con fotografía.

Viví un par de años en Londres, donde tuve la oportunidad de exponer en la Vibe Gallery y participé en el Art C.O.S festival en el barrio de Dalston. Publiqué algunas ilustraciones en el megazine "Patchworkpaper" http://patchworkpaper.co.uk/2014/05/home-is-where/ . Tambien trabajé como voluntaria en Orlean House Gallery haciendo actividades plásticas con niños/as.

Volví a Madrid hace unos años buscando nuevas oportunidades. Comencé a interesarme por la performance y tuve la oportunidad de asistir a cursos impartidos por performers como Nieves Correa o Bartolomé Ferrando. He participado en festivales como AccionMad en 2015 o Srping-T 2017. Actualmente trabajo en  ilustraciones relacionadas con Yoga, y hago  atrezzo para teatro y escaparates.

​

Después de trabajar en diferentes áreas y con diversos materiales, puedo decir que mi obra busca el movimiento del cuerpo humano, las expresiones, los sentimientos, las sensaciones y los sentidos. Por eso cada actividad o trabajo que realizo tiene una relación entre si. Practico aeroyoga, lo cual para mi contiene conexiones con la Performance; junto con una compañera trabajo diseñando e impartiendo talleres para niñ@s sobre performance, instalación y trash art  creando una relación entre los procesos creativos y  el medio ambiente que nuestro cuerpo habita; fotografío cuerpos y personas; atrezzo  escaparates creando ambientes habitables que cuentan historias sobre quien  pudo haber vivido en ese espacio; hago ilustración buscando transmitir el movimiento/impulso de mi cuerpo y mis sentimientos o sensaciones a través de la acuarela.
